Remington announced Thursday they have expanded their Model 700 Mountain Stainless series to consist of a new chambering for the common six.5mm Creedmoor cartridge.
Significant Green has been marketing and advertising the lightweight but tough rifle for the previous a number of years in a half-dozen calibers common with Western sportsmen ranging from 25-06 and 7mm-08 to 280 Rem and .30-06 Sprg, so the new Creedmoor supplying tends to make sense.
Across the line, the series utilizes a 22-inch 416 stainless steel barreled action coupled with a Bell & Carlson stock with an aluminum bedding block to create a rifle in the six-pound variety. The Creedmoor variant attributes a 1-in-eight-inch proper-hand twist.
All models in the series come regular with an X-Mark Pro externally adjustable trigger technique and are scope mount prepared. Suggested retail cost is $1,152 but the 700 Moutain Stainless typically runs a bit much less more than the counter.
