Beretta has shrunk their APX platform to incorporate a new series of subcompact single-stack 9mm pistols– the APX Carry line.
The guns, constructed in Beretta’s Tennessee facility, have been “specifically made for customers who have a want for ultra-concealment but want the ease of handling, accuracy, and simple traits and ergonomics of the complete-size and compact models of the APX loved ones of handguns,” notes the firm.
When it comes to size, the guns are slim, at just .9-inches wide across the grip, and compact, with a five.six-inch all round length whilst nevertheless obtaining a three.07-inch barrel. Height from the bottom of the flush-match floorplate to the top rated of the rear sight is four.two-inches.
By comparison, these measurements are all just slightly significantly less than these of the Glock’s wildly well-known 9mm slimline G43 pistol. Weight, unloaded, is 19.eight-ounces.
The line is offered in 4 colour patterns: black, flat dark earth, olive drab green, and Wolf Grey. They accommodate either a six+1 round flush match or pinky extension magazine or an eight+1 capacity extended mag. The guns ship with two magazines and 3 baseplate designs for user customization.
Striker-fired with a low-bore axis, quickly manipulated slide catch, reversible magazine release, aggressive front and rear slide serrations, and a DAO trigger that breaks at six.five-pounds, Beretta is pitching the gun heavily at the customer concealed carry and property defense industry.
Most effective of all, whilst the complete-sized APX has an MSRP of $575 (and normally sells for closer to $525) the APX Carry is set to MSRP for $425.
