U.S. Military Academy Wins Sig Relentless Warrior Championship :: Guns.com

With military academies all more than the U.S. vying for initial spot at the Sig Sauer Relentless Warrior Championship, it was the U.S. Military Academy at West Point that in the end earned the major honor.

Ninety cadets from the United States Air Force Academy, United States Naval Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy, United States Military Academy at West Point, Virginia Military Institute (VMI), Texas A&ampM and the Merchant Marine Academy descended upon the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, New Hampshire March 30 for the occasion to test their capabilities. The match provided seven mission stages with courses of fire that challenged marksmanship and leadership capabilities. At the finish of the occasion, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point came out on major.

“Our group has often focused on coaching to develop into the finest leaders, shooters, and warriors. The stages tested their potential to challenge resolve, program, execute, and represented a wide scope of shooting capabilities,” Coach Gary Salman stated in a news release. “Our group was relentless when it came to coaching. Mindset and concentrate was the overarching message all through our coaching. The excitement of the win, validated by tough operate and dedication was actually incredible.”

Other awards went to:

  • Major Gun, awarded to the person initial spot finisher of the competitors: Bobby Sobeski (US Military Academy at West Point)
  • Higher Lady, awarded to the major female competitor: Savannah Butters (Texas A&ampM)
  • Major Shot, awarded to the finest shooter from each college: Isaac Perkins (US Air Force Academy), Philip Kuong (US Coast Guard Academy), Nick Wiley (US Naval Academy), Wade Ledbetter (Texas A&ampM), G.M. Goldsmith (Virginia Military Institute), Bobby Sobeski (US Military Academy at West Point)
  • Ultimate Warrior, awarded to the major finisher of the Warrior vs. Warrior shoot-off: Colton Roach (Texas A&ampM)
