Some Tweaks to My IZH 61

Thought I might verify in and present just a few minor modifications I lately made to my IZH.

Eliminated the metal muzzle weight/sight base and made a carbon fiber sleeve with an aluminum base for the Weihrauch entrance sight.  The aluminum is bonded to the carbon with a two half epoxy.  It is mechanically easier than the metal base, and I believe it’s going to be simpler to maintain dialed in.

Revisited the ahead sling attachment.  A modified keymod QD becoming tidies up the forend and makes sling attachment/elimination easy.

Additionally swapped the big goal diopter sight for this light-weight Daisy mannequin #5899.   It was too low to dial in with my HW entrance sight, so a sliver of a 11mm dovetail riser made up the mandatory peak.

Lastly, I’ve had this previous Redfield adjustable aperture disc for no less than 30 years.  It was both my father’s or my grandfather’s.   In all probability got here off an previous Winchester 52 goal rifle.   A easy thread adapter was machined to suit the Daisy.

That is about all I’ve acquired for the second.

Extra quickly.
