These days I produced a couple of gorge hooks for Bushclass. Most occasions when I get began on projects I get “stuck” in inventive mode. Does this take place to anyone else? I was producing the gorge hook out of an old dog bone I discovered the other day.
I reduce the rest of the bone into slices on a band saw.
I then took one particular of these slices and worked on shaping it with a file. I then reduce a piece if cedar and notched the finish to match the bone piece I just shaped. I then lashed the two with each other with some jute twine.
It naturally is not a functional hook, but it was anything enjoyable to do to maintain my thoughts and hands occupied. Perhaps I will hang it from my pack or anything.
