Opera Home Arts will host the Maine Outside Film Festival celebrating creativity and the good outdoors beneath the stars in Stonington on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Stonington Ball Field, 40 College St.
The films commence soon after sunset at about eight p.m. Meals trucks and vendors will line the street beginning at six:30 p.m. Admission is cost-free.
“Summer in Maine is all about having outdoors,” stated MOFF director Nick Callanan in a news release from Opera Home Arts. “And in Stonington, we’re displaying outside films, outdoors! That is a win for everybody and it really should be a good evening.”
The Maine Outside Film Festival, sponsored by Opera Home Arts, brings a series of quick films about outside adventure and conservation to the Stonington Ball Field. The films, which will be projected on a screen outdoors in the field, are from all more than the globe, which includes 3 with connections to Maine.
This occasion is cost-free and open to all. MOFF suggests generating a $five donation in assistance of the Loon Echo Land Trust.
