Monument Peak (10, 452 ft) is the the Carbon County Higher Point, and for these operating on the Utah County Higher Points (CoHPs), this a single is the easiest because you can drive to the summit. It’s located along the Wasatch Plateau, and due to the fact its basically a drive, it should be combined with other CoHPs such as East Mountain and South Tent Mountain. There is practically nothing unique about this peak except for the reality that you can see 3 CoHPs from the summit. The very best time to drive right here is in late Summer season to Fall when the road is completely dry.
From Spanish Fork, UT head East on HWY six, then turn south for US 89 for Fairview, UT. In Fairview, veer left for W 400 N on HWY 31. Drive eight.four miles, and turn left at the brown sign for Electric Lake. Drive 10.six miles and as you attain the saddle, appear for the dirt road on your ideal. You will see a gate and the sign for FR018. Reset your odometer. Drive specifically eight miles and appear for the left turn. You can either park right here and stroll to the summit or continue driving if your car or truck can make it. My Subaru Forester produced it to the summit with no problems.
