Stay warm by wrapping up in plastic bottles

Rumpl’s new NanoLoft Puffy Blanket lets eco-conscious outdoor enthusiasts stay warm with help from recycled plastic bottles. The new Puffy Blanket features NanoLoft insulation – a synthetic down-like insulation made entirely from post-consumer recycled materials, primary plastic beverage containers. In just the first year of use of NanoLoft insulation, Rumpl will use more than 3 million recycled plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfills.

“The new NanoLoft and Original Puffy are just the beginning because the use of post-consumer recycled materials in our products reflects our values as a company, as well as what Rumpl fans want to see as we continue to grow and evolve,” said Wylie Robinson, Rumpl founder and CEO. “We’re looking across our product line and will be incorporating recycled materials into several of our new products launching later this year and in early 2020.”

Rumpl’s 100-percent post-consumer recycled NanoLoft is a breakthrough in insulation technology and the company’s first-ever synthetic alternative to down. Unlike traditional synthetic fills, NanoLoft insulation is made up of tiny circular clusters of fiber that mimic the properties of down clusters. The proprietary NanoLoft technology traps warmth inside small pockets of air to efficiently preserve heat, regardless of conditions. As a result, NanoLoft offers the lightweight warmth and compressibility of down with the wet-weather insulating performance of synthetic insulation. The NanoLoft Puffy Blanket packs down small and rebounds back to its original loft twice as fast as down, making it perfect for the outdoors, travel, and whenever space, weight, and warmth are important.

“We’re extremely proud of NanoLoft – it’s an exciting design and the first insulation that we’ve developed, and demonstrates our continued focus on sustainability, innovation and leading the category,” added Robinson. “With the full redesign of the Original Puffy – the blanket that started it all – we were able to make it stronger and better for the environment, while at the same time reducing the cost.”

Despite the use of post-consumer recycled content and new features, the cost of the 1-Person Original Puffy Blanket drops from $129 to $99.

The NanoLoft Puffy and Original Puffy blankets are available in a variety of new colors and prints. Learn more about Rumpl’s use of post-consumer recycled content and new products at
