Lockout lifted at Reardan School District; suspect identified but not in area

REARDAN, Wash. – Reardan College District has lifted its lockout, following the suspect who created threats to bring a gun to college has been identified. The district, in a voice message, mentioned the suspect is not in the Reardan region.

Earlier Friday morning, the college district was put under a lockout following a student created a threat against the college. four News Now spoke with Reardan College District’s superintendent, who mentioned a student created a direct threat to an additional student that they would bring a gun to college. The superintendent mentioned the student who created the threat was not at college Friday morning.

Though police worked on finding that student, the college district was below a lockout. A lockout implies classes can go on commonly inside, but no 1 is permitted to enter the creating.

The superintendent mentioned Spokane County Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating and will determine if an arrest will be created.
