The 2019-2020 JROTC 3-Position Postal Competitors officially opened Sept. 25, 2019, for young cadets in Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force JROTC applications who are interested in competing in a 3-position air rifle match with other talented juniors across the nation. The Postal occasion is the initially stage of the JROTC Nationals series of matches, continuing on with the Regional Service Championships ahead of concluding with the National competitors for qualifying athletes.
The JROTC National occasion is performed by the Civilian Marksmanship System (CMP) applying the organization’s personal electronic targets installed on ranges stationed in Ohio and Alabama, as properly as on a mobile electronic variety capable of becoming assembled at places about the nation.
To compete, registered sporter and precision air rifle participants will every single get 3 targets and guidelines for recording scores. Shooters will fire in every single of the 3 positions (prone, standing, kneeling) at their house ranges – applying a single target for every single position. After record shots are fired, shooters will return the targets to CMP for scoring.
CMP employees members will confirm scores applying the Orion Visual Image Scoring program. Benefits will be posted inside Competitors Tracker (https://ct.thecmp.org/app/v1/index.php) for teams and people to verify through the postal season.
