I’ve been looking for the best carry pistol for 15 years. I began huge with a Beretta 92FS complete-size. Then I suffered via the miniscule uber-compact stage. Now I’ve figured out that the self-assurance I acquire from shooting a bigger pistol with a generous ammo provide far outweighs the further size and weight. Yes, as George Fisher when mentioned, “When you aim for perfection, you find out it is a moving target.” The excellent football-philosopher Vince Lombardi presented a diverse, but equally valid take: “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.”
Given that seeing and handling the SIG Sauer P320 XCompact at the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings, I’ve been questioning if I’ve discovered my carry excellence. Just as improvements in optics toughness and reliability when produced scopes on rifles the default configuration, I feel the time is now for carry-pistol red dots. It is challenging to beat the visibility and rapid precision.
