“NOBO started April 2nd and stopped hiking August 7th at Whitehouse Landing-about 46 miles short at 2146.3 miles.  I’m 61-knees had been bad-especially on descents for 3 weeks. When I entered 100 Mile Wilderness I also found out some terrible news about back home and even though I was on pace to finish August 10th I got a ride to Portland and took Amtrak back home to Cleveland.   I could barely walk for 2-3 weeks. I got motivated and Ole Man in Millinoket told me just have a positive attitude.   I did a road trip back and on September 20-22 I finished those 46 miles!”

June 1 – September 28

“I began my first backpacking adventure on June 1st and finished September 28th (120 days on trail). Starting in June there were way to many people telling me ‘Katahdin gets snow really early you’ll probably not make it’, ‘you better flip flop or else you won’t make it’, ‘you sure started late, you better hurry up’, and other unnecessary ‘advice’. Anyway, I’ve attached my summit photo and if I’m featured it would great to toss something in there about not listening to people’s negativity if you start late or are traveling slower than others.”

“Vlogged my Thruhike to share our unique mother-daughter hike. My mother, Babyfeet was injured after hiking 840 miles. She rejoined me for our dream: Katahdin. She will continue her LASH this spring!”
