Not the usual situation this time of year, but Tiny Elvis and I decided to take benefit of a day off and hit the Elkhorns exactly where I anticipated adequate snow to snowshoe.
We hit the trailhead at 9:00 AM with the temps in the upper 30's, great traveling climate! We could see exactly where a person had skied in earlier.
We created quite great time having to Casey Meadows, roughly three miles in. Had a fast snack and kept climbing….
snowshoeing on Columbus Day!
