Brown was arrested the very same weekend as the city heavily elevated its police presence to break an eight-weekend streak of shootings.

The push was in response to the back-to-back fatal shootings of a 13-year-old boy and a food delivery driver in separate incidents on the same 4th Ward street on Oct. 6 and 7, authorities said.
