Wool Blanket Repair Help | Bushcraft USA Forums

[ad_1]

  1. Didn’t know where to put this so I’m throwing it here. I have a queen sized wool blanket. A really nice one. But it’s got a tear down the middle which hinders it’s use. How can I repair this without it looking like a total mess? It’s the perfect season for it and I love sleeping with it.

  2. @Red Ochre could probably offer some advice. Pictures would likely be a help too.

    Have zero experience on the matter but was wondering if it could be done with a strip of quilt and a felting needle?

  4. My mom used to patch things by pragmatically sewing together (joining roughly)…then embroidering or sewing a pattern of some sort over top to hide the “scar”…..

    Before you patch it up, close the tear using the baseball stitch;

    Pictures of the damage and weave would be good.
