RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a man driving a stolen auto with a stolen gun and drugs inside was arrested following top police on a chase.
Investigators say a Trooper attempted to pull more than 33-year old Jason Overton, of Nashville, on Thursday afternoon on I-165 close to the Morgantown Road Exit. KSP says Overton took off at a higher price of speed.
Logan County Sheriff’s deputies along with Russellville Police ultimately stopped Overton on Smith Street in Russellville, exactly where he was arrested.
State Police say the auto Overton was driving was reported stolen from Tennessee. They say the convicted felon also had a stolen gun in the auto, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was jailed on a dozen charges, which includes DUI, according to KSP.
