We all know that coast is a good location to be a hunter gatherer/forager. I totally free dive for crustaceans myself. I appreciate to roam the shores at low tide for meals but I have a dilemma….
I can consume lobster, crab and fish and I appreciate to consume the different coastal greens. There is an abundance of mussels, razer clams, winkles, but I can not consume these simply because I am allergic. Even a smaller quantity can have me in the most dire situation inside 24hrs, a truth I learnt the really hard way and lost more than a stone in weight in one particular week….. not a pleasant expertise for me or my wife.
So other than lobby’s, crab and fish (which is labour intensive and includes some organizing….) What protein can i get from the shore that is not in a shell….
