This month, GearJunkie launches a key series with Go RVing to discover the folks, areas, and gear of recreational cars. We hope you will come along for the ride.
Campers know that a lot hinges on the climate. As the GearJunkie group produced its way to north-central Minnesota for a weekend of mountain biking, campfires, and tall tales, our eyes drifted to the clouds developing more than the aspen and pine forests.
We located an old access road amongst the crystal-clear gravel pit lakes of Cuyuna and set to operate. We pulled out the tents and sleeping bags just as the initially drops splattered heavily on the summer time leaves. It was going to be a wet weekend.
But the climate had a lesson in shop for us. As we opened an awning on the demo Winnebago Revel RV and set up lawn chairs beneath the relative shelter, beers cracked open. Just as anticipated, the stories flowed properly into the evening. And even as rain fell heavily from the sky, that campfire surged to life safely out of attain of the camper.
For a single weekend, a diehard group of campers became RVers. And offered that it occurred to be a extremely wet weekend, we have been all thankful.
The GearJunkie crew had a household base for cooking, staying dry, and organizing our operate gear (yes, we worked!) even in the soaking rain. We saw firsthand the worth RVs bring, specifically when your life on the road intersects your operate life in a extremely true way.
Go RVing: Car for a Life of Exploration
In the subsequent month, GearJunkie will share a series of articles exploring the globe of RVs in Out of Workplace, presented by Go RVing.
But we will not just concentrate on the gear. We’ll have profiles of RVers who shape the culture of life in a extremely mobile neighborhood. We’ll share some of the ideal areas to check out with your RV (or van, truck, or car or truck and tent!). And of course, we’ll have the gear.
And when we say gear, we imply in-depth articles about subjects like electronics for your RV and communications options for life off the grid.
So buckle up and join us for the ride. We hope you appreciate it.
