German Panzergrenadier with Heckler & Koch HK69A1 -The Firearm Weblog

Time for a different Photo Of The Day. This time we’re in Germany for some coaching with their soldiers.

We take a closer appear at a Heckler &amp Koch that we do not see as well typically, namely the HK69A1 or the Bundeswehr designation “AG40 A1“.

In German, the grenade launcher is auto-translated into a “grenade pistol“, which really tends to make a lot of sense contemplating what it appears like and what it does. It pistols grenades.

The HK69A1 Grenade Launcher has a break-down action, single-action trigger and makes use of 40×46mm grenades.

It is usually carried in a thigh holster. The sights are great for 50 to 350 m adjustments.

Under: Note the grenade mid-air.

Heckler &amp Koch G36s. Note the grenade launcher in the sling.

I assume this is a Marder, a German infantry fighting car, with a 20 mm autocannon from Rheinmetall.
